Yep. Christmas catalogs have started to arrive. I love me some Christmas catalogs. And it’s a good thing too as I just brought in from the mailbox a stack three inches high! Everything from crafts to popcorn to personalized hockey jerseys. Such a bounty of pretty pictures at which to look.
In between naps. I am so lucky to have a boss who lets me disappear for an hour or so every afternoon and crawl onto the bed and sleep the sleep of the dead. Even the cat agrees. This afternoon I woke up with her asleep directly across from my face and her little paw out-stretched and resting on my cheek. So cute. Until I got up and she attacked me. Apparently naptime wasn’t quite over.
Ok, I will confess to being confused by a commercial for air freshening candles. It says I should give someone the gift of fresh scents this year. Um, who exactly isn’t going to be offended if I buy them an airwick air freshener for Christmas? Anyone? Anyone? Yeah, I thought so.
David is traveling on business and I promised I wouldn’t watch our television shows until he got back. That was great when we had our shows and I had my shows. However he has spent enough time with Friday Night Lights and Men In Trees that they aren’t just my shows, but our shows. So now I got nothing to watch. It makes it hard to knit. I can’t just sit and knit, I need to be doing something else too – like watching my television shows.
I could plan a trip. This arrived yesterday. I can’t wait to go somewhere now. We’re hitting Denver for Thanksgiving with my three girls next week. Maybe New York for Valentine’s Day. Oh, and North Carolina for Christmas. Charleston for New Years. Hrmm. Maybe I won’t plan a trip. It looks like I’ll get a lot of use out of my new luggage without even trying!
Hey – does anyone know how to tell M$ Word to use closed quotation marks only? Never mind I am smart as I figured it out all by myself! Woot! Now I shall celebrate with ice cream!
