I love this. It makes me smile that someone decided to cover a town in pumpkins. Great big, happy smiles. Our Halloween was quiet and low-key. I donned my tiara and we passed out candy to the less than twenty kids who rang our bell. We played cards. We bemoaned the lack of television programs. In general we had a grand time. More evenings in our life should be spent looking for something to do instead of chasing ourselves trying to catch up with life.
The last eighteen months of my life have been hectic, chaotic, and just plain sucky. I’m not trying to jinx anything here, but some chores I’ve had to do this week are falling into place quite nicely and easily. Ain’t happened in a really long time and I hope this is a barometer of things to come.
Lastly, here is a picture of our punkin. His name is Andrew. As in Andrew JACKson. As in JACK’olantern. I slay me. Shut up. It is, too, funny. No, really, it is. Oh, whatever.
