We’re home. For now. I came home late last Wednesday night and got on a plane on Thursday morning. Less than nine hours after getting home. We spent a long weekend with David’s family on the beach in North Carolina. It was hot and muggy, but it was a well needed break after a very emotional two weeks.

This weekend we’ll head back down to Morro Bay to start trying to settle things there. I’m sure I’m being overly optimistic, but I’d like for my last trip to Morro Bay to be before Labor Day. We’ll see.

For now I’m trying to clean up where I left off with clients, do a mountain of laundry, and figure out how the house can be so messy when we haven’t been home. At some point in the next few days I’ll post the eulogy I gave at my Grumpa’s funeral and the slide show David I put together.

Thanks to those who took the time to email me with messages of support. Special thanks to Tracey for picking up where I dropped things and for checking on me. Extra special thanks to My Jessika for just listening to me and not verbally passing judgement on the rest of my family on the few occasions we were actually able to make contact. I’m blessed.

  2. I am sorry to hear about your grandpa. And very sorry you got scolded for not posting during this tough time.

Also, I think your blog is hilarious. I’m loving the hot-actors heat index you have going - very funny, and so far, I think it’s right on!! Thanks for making me smile!
