Finished! One Dream Swatch!

It’s knit from one skein Noro Silk Garden with US 10 needles and ended up being 42” long and about 4” wide.

A close up of the stitches. I think this pattern would make a lovely scarf or shawl.

I think I’ll actually wear it as a headband folded in half – as shown.

In other news, my kitty cat as a really hard life.

And finally, when were people going to tell me that you can make s’mores in the microwave? A couple words of advice … When they say one marshmallow, they know of which they speak. Even if one looks far too paltry and nowhere near enough marshmallow. Trust me. Oh. And when they say a half a candy bar? Too much. These are my wise words I gift to you.

  2. Microwave S’Mores are a thing of beauty. Last time we used our camper before selling it, we had a rainy night, so kids had Micro-S’Mores. It was still camping.

Now, let me get this straight about the swatch…it is an entire skein of Noro Silk Garden? It is lovely. I thought it looked much larger than it it–I thought, at first glance, that it was already a scarf!

  3. Shelly,

Yep. A single skein. It’s only about 42″ long which isn’t quite long enough to be an actual scarf. And living in the San Francisco Bay Area we don’t have much call for scarves. Ever. However, if you only make it half as wide – that’d be 2″ instead of 4″ – it’d be in scarf length territory. Super skinny scarf, but super long too!
