I am a knitting machine. Machine, I tell you. Two fuzzy magenta baby hats complete. Next up the fun, fuzzy bright yarn!

My fortune from chinese food this weekend: “To know a man listen to his words.” I call a bullshit. Men never say what they mean or mean what they say.

David got a t-shirt for Christmas with the Pi symbol on it made up of the first thousand or so numbers of Pi. He wore it today. In public. Granted we went to Fry’s, but still. In public. With me. My dear geek. Whatever you do, don’t ask him how far he has it memorized. Please.

We’ve done work in yards the last couple weekends - just sort of cleaning out the winter leaves and stuff. Getting things ready for spring. Last weekend I noticed that my apple tree and my gladiolas were budding. I explained to them that it’s still nippy at night and they’d really enjoy it more if they went back to sleep for awhile. Not only did they have the audacity to ignore me, but the tarragon that froze in the freak really cold snap we had at the end of fall is sprouting. I tried explaining to it that it’s an annual. Crazy nature.

I really thought today was Saturday. Imagine my surprise and disappointment when The West Wing came on. For the record, if that really happened we’d so be on our way north or west. Fast.

I am officially a grown up. I have my computer set up to automatically run a back up of my work files three times a week and my entire system once a week. Until this afternoon I manually ran back ups every week of work files and dropped them in my web host. Add the fact I just upped my health insurance policy to the “Just give a us a wee co-payment and we’ll fix anything that ails you.” plan and I fear I might actually mature at some point. Frightening.
